it’s so lovely to meet you

Oh hey, hello, hi! I always feel a little vulnerable popping my face up online, but this is me. I’m a loving partner, one time cheesy pasta eating champion, and for the past three years I have been documenting love stories in all their forms. The journey so far has been so special, and I’m so thankful to everyone who allows me into their lives to capture their memories.

Grief and difficult times have found their way into my life over the years and those losses have shaped how I approach photography. I know how important those memories will be, both for you and for generations of family and friends to come. They’re heirlooms, ways to time travel. My passion for capturing other people’s love comes from how fortunate I am to have a life filled with my own examples of it. That handsome dude up there is Dan. We met on Tinder, fell for each other over months then finally met in person. Since then he’s moved from an island to the city to the seaside with me, gone through cancer treatment, helped my mum go through the same. He makes the best mash, gets teary over three legged dogs and loves walking through the woods, in any weather. The other guy you can see is my Dad, who died in 2018. He was fiercely loyal, played pretty much every instrument you can think of and always gave me flowers, just because. He was a rockstar. Their two examples of unconditional love have guided me to the way I capture your stories, and the privilege I feel in doing so.

Outside of the photography world, you’ll usually find me watching a film, peeking through charity shops or in and around the sea. I love swimming and being close to the water, and I always find myself at complete peace when I’m there. Inside of my work, I feel like the best version of myself. I’m inspired by seeing the love between you and your partner, your family and friends, your love for yourself. I chase light and am inspired by how to play with that, as well as by movement and nature. I always want to capture your story from the most honest and heartfelt perspective, creating beautiful photographs that align with the feelings you experienced. I approach every story with my whole heart, and am lucky enough to create genuine friendships with my couples and clients. Each time I photograph, I go in without expectation. Each and every moment is unique to the people I’m photographing - you are your very own story.

Love always

I’m a big supporter of finding what brings you joy during your planning - whether that’s following traditions, or breaking free of them altogether. Your celebration should mirror your love story, and so can involve anything you want! I’m also very aware of the environmental impact weddings and all the related ‘stuff’ often has. There are heaps of things we’re made to think we need for a wedding, but in reality it’s actually just you two, and a celebrant! Plastic decorations, flowers flown in from another country, bits you’re not able to recycle or reuse - there are a lot of better (and more beautiful!) choices that we can make, that also help leave far less of a mark on the Earth. Strip back all the ‘must-haves’, and build your day from the foundations. This is all about you two, and your love, and I’ll be there to capture it.

I’m a proud ambassador for eco-ethical weddings and elopements with Less Stuff More Meaning and a stockist of their brilliant Mindfully Wed E-Guide!
